The UAE deregulated petrol and diesel prices in 2015, linking pump rates to international markets. Since then, the UAE Fuel Price Committee has met monthly, announcing new rates on the last day of the month to take effect from the 1st. Prices are benchmarked against global crude and refined product markets, with a margin added to cover distribution and retail costs. Because the rate is set nationally, every station in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah charges the same amount for the same grade.

For August 2026, Special 95 costs AED 3.49 per litre, Super 98 costs AED 3.60, E-Plus 91 costs AED 3.41 and diesel costs AED 3.80. These rates apply nationwide and stay fixed for the whole month.

No. Fuel prices are set nationally and are identical at every station in all seven emirates, regardless of whether you fill up at ADNOC, ENOC, EPPCO or Emarat. Only service and loyalty programmes differ.
Check your fuel cap or owner's manual. Most UAE-spec sedans and SUVs run on Special 95, while many performance and luxury models require Super 98. E-Plus 91 suits older or lower-compression engines. Using a lower grade than the manufacturer recommends can affect performance over time.
Diesel is priced separately from petrol and tracks global diesel demand, which moves independently of crude. Diesel vehicles typically recover the difference through better fuel efficiency on long highway runs.
